A Sanctuary
for Families
The Byard Family Legacy Fund is not only a sanctuary for families, but believes everyone deserves a second chance. Kevin Byard our founder and All-Pro Safety for the Tennessee Titans is the second oldest of seven children. Growing up without a father in the home Kevin had to help make ends meet for his family while trying to make it in football as well. Him and his wife Clarke wanted to make sure that families in their community, like Kevin’s, had a place to turn to when times got tough.
Kevin wasn’t invited to the NFL combine, but he didn’t give up. He kept working and went to the local pro day for the Titans where he eventually earned himself a spot on the roster. The BFLF aims to instill this drive and resilience in all members of the community they touch and remind us that we all fall down, but it is not the fall that matters. What matters is getting back up and we will be the hand reaching out to help you do just that.
Our Initiatives
Our BFL youth football camp, Christmas community drive, Thanksgiving dinner donations, and Grace Grant have been wonderful in the past and we will continue these annually in the future. We are also beyond excited to announce many more initiatives this year which include a back to school drive and helping women of color get the healthcare they need during delivery. None of this could have been accomplished without our incredible partners at Microsoft, Chick-fil-A, Nike, United Way, HCA, and so many more. We thank you dearly.
